Swingers 3 Page 9

We also hired a new DJ as John had left to set up his own radio show in Mansfield. Charlie was a six foot three inch black man with a smile as big as his personality. Many of you reading this will remember him, he brought with him a more up to date portfolio and introduced us to soul. Our members were changing too and out went a lot of the old guard. Swinging was now mainstream and a whole new and younger crowd began to emerge. They were the new wave of swingers who had never known life without clubs or TV programmes or magazine write-ups. We brought in an airbrush artist to embellish the playrooms and interior walls and got the back yard of the club into use which was very popular in the summertime; outdoor sex in a swingers club was a real turn on. We went so far as to buy an old sierra to park in the back yard so couples could try dogging in complete safety. It proved a hit on Fridays. That old Ford saw some action I can tell you.

With all our new innovations we stormed ahead of our rivals again and became the first adult club to gain a full drinks licence. It was a huge achievement for the time and again we had to meet much stricter criteria than say a normal night club would have.

Those days were hard, the weekends were brutal and we were lucky to scrape three or four hours sleep over Friday and Saturday and Sundays were just a blur, but we loved every minute and never tired of meeting new couples as they came tentatively through the doors for the first time. We still found time to meet Danny and Sue, Dave and Rachel, not as often as we would like, admittedly, but as Dave pointed out, “You have to take care of business first, Barry.” He had recently set up his own recruitment agency and was working all hours God sent. Rachel had confessed to Marie that she was worried about him working too hard, but once Dave got his teeth into something he would not let it go. The trouble was none of us were getting any younger and lack of sleep, a bad diet and long hours were a dangerous combination. Dave was the oldest of the lot of us and would say to Rachel, “Don’t worry about me love, as long as I can raise a smile and a hard on, I’ll be okay.”

  CHAPTER 11

  Goodbye, Old Friend

Dave had a heart attack at work around teatime and died later that night in hospital, never having regained consciousness. Rachel was by his side when he passed away. We didn’t know until the following day when a mutual friend rang us. It was a devastating blow to us all. He was sixty one years old and we had known him for eighteen years. We had been to Hedonism together, spent countless hours at his and Rachel’s home, laughed and cried with him through the good and bad times. It was unthinkable that we would never laugh at his dry humour again, never see his smiling face, never hear that contagious chuckle.

Rachel was surrounded by family for the next few days so we kept our distance, but it was difficult not contacting her. We wanted to tell her how much we cared, we wanted to hug her and tell her we were all there for her, but we had to hold back for fear of intruding and placing her in a compromising position. She did not need difficult questions from relatives at a time like this, so we grieved in private for a week until Rachel rang us one evening, her voice shaking with emotion to tell us of the funeral arrangements. We told her if it was awkward for her, we would understand if she did not want us there, but she insisted we came. “Dave would have wanted you to come,” she said. It was hard talking to Rachel, nothing we said could make it any better, nothing we did could mend her broken heart.

On the day of the funeral we stood at the back with Danny and Sue and about six other couples from the lifestyle whom Dave and Rachel had been close too. We almost outnumbered the rest of the assembled family and friends. We certainly got some strange looks from them. Rachel seemed oblivious and almost zombie-like. Marie, Sue and a few of the other women took her to one side, “I’m lost,” she confided to them, “I’m like a ship without an anchor, I’m just drifting.” She broke down and disappeared into the toilets with the girls.

Danny said Dave would have loved the eulogy, especially the bit where the vicar said he was a man who excelled in the company of others. “I’ve seen him excel a few times,” said Danny. I smiled, Dave would have found all this incredibly hypocritical. He wasn’t religious, he once told me, “God is in here, Baz,” putting his hand on his heart, “the measure of a man is not how many times you go to church, it’s how you live your life. You don’t have to be religious to be a good man.” He had lived his life without succumbing to society’s rules or expectations. If any man could truly say they never compromised who they are, it was Dave.

So we said our goodbyes to our old friend and drove home. In a way, Dave’s death had served to highlight how precious time was and that night I think we all become acutely aware of our own mortality. We were getting older and the feeling that the best days were gone hung heavy over us all for a long time.

Rachel and Dave never had kids, so it was less complicated for Rachel to live with her mother and abandon her lovely home that she had built with Dave.

I do admit to driving over there with Marie one night shortly after the funeral, just to feel close to them again. It was a mistake. As we sat in the car looking up at those steep steps with the house in total darkness, we tried to imagine the many great times we had enjoyed in there, but it just looked cold, desolate and empty. We drove away with tears in our eyes, once something is gone it’s gone forever.

The next few weeks at the club were hard. It was tough having to laugh and joke with people when we were hurting so much inside. At the time we wished we could just dig a hole and climb in, but in reality the members held us together, kept us from drowning in sorrows and eventually pulled us through. Life goes on and the more we immersed ourselves in the club and the people, the better we felt. With so much fun and laughter around it was impossible to remain downcast. A few of our members knew what had happened and helped us through but even the majority who did not know helped us unknowingly just by their boundless capacity to enjoy life.

If we learned anything from Dave it was to enjoy living and make the most of every day, he and Rachel did just that. Their love for each other was beyond question but still they pushed their own boundaries, just as we do, just as most of you reading this book do. Swinging is not a hobby, it’s a lifestyle and it’s for the brave of heart and the free of spirit. Dave understood that more than anyone. His philosophy was simple, he once told me; “Baz, swinging is like playing with fire, sometimes you’re going to get burnt but it’s better than freezing your ass off because you’re too scared to go near the flames.”

Almost a year after Dave’s death we were talking with Danny and Sue about having a special night out, possibly with a few couples from the club. We had been working every weekend and had been neglecting our old friends, so we set about making special plans for a night to remember. That was just what it turned out to be and I could not help thinking that Dave and Rachel would have loved it.

  CHAPTER 12

  A Night to Remember

All the plans were set for our special night, it would be the first Saturday we would have off in two years. The club would be in good hands as Craig, our son in law, was more than capable. He had been with us from the very early dark days when we seemed to have stood alone against the world. Now the pressure was off, we owed ourselves a night out.

We had pushed the boat out and hired a stretch limo for the night. My friend Tony had just bought an old pub and converted it to a lap dancing club not far from La Chambre. He had invited us along to the grand opening. So our plan was to drive around Sheffield for an hour in the limo then spend a couple of hours in Tony’s club before going back to our house to finish the night off properly.

There were four couples, me and Marie, Danny and Sue and two couples from the club that we had grown close too, Mark and Maria and Alan and Sue. Many of you will know Mark and Maria, as they are still regulars at the club today. They are an easy going and fun loving couple who know how to have a good time. Maria especially is game for anything and when she’s had a few drinks she tends to wear her knickers on her head, it’s kinda c
ute really. Anyway that’s Maria and we wouldn’t have her any other way.

Alan and Sue seem a quiet, almost reserved couple until you get to know them. Alan has a dry sense of humour and says things sometimes in all seriousness but which sound hilarious, and he can never understand why we’re all laughing. Sue is so pretty and petite that you would never guess she could be so wild sexually, when she’s on form there’s no stopping her.

As the big, white, stretch limo pulled up outside La Chambre, people were still queuing to come in and as we all climbed inside a loud cheer went up from the queue, followed by a few well meaning jibes “Oh it must be royalty, Can we come?, Give us a royal wave then.” I turned to oblige but Maria had beat me to it by getting her boobs out and jumping up and down. Of course an even louder cheer went up. Once inside, we opened up the champagne and told the driver to tour the city centre. For the first twenty minutes or so we just drank our champers and laughed. Then Danny, with his usual delicacy, said, “Well what are we waiting for? Let’s shag.” Never one for subtlety our Dan, but he did have a point.

So we all began undressing and in no time at all an onboard orgy was in progress. Danny and Sue were getting it on with Mark and Maria, whilst Marie and I were scrambling over people to have fun with Alan and Sue. The driver kept looking in his mirror, I could see his eyes keep darting up and down. After a time he was spending more time watching his rear view mirror than watching the road ahead. It was only later that I found out the mirror wasn’t a road mirror it was for keeping an eye on the passengers, and he certainly kept an eye on us.

Little Sue, as we nicknamed her because she was so petite, was knelt down on the floor of the limo giving me a blow job and every time we went over a bump I went deeper into her mouth. One really big bump made her gag.

“Come on Sue,” I groaned, “you can do deep throat can’t you?” She pulled off me for a second and looked up.

“You bet I can,” and with that she plunged her head down onto my cock until her lips touched my pubes and shot me a look up, which said how’s about that. I just smiled at her and groaned even louder. I glanced across at Marie, she was doing the same to Alan. He was stretched out on the seat with his eyes closed and a huge smile on his face.

Danny and Sue and Mark and Maria were just a tangle of arms and legs and every now and then a loud squeal or a ‘oohhh’ would come out of the tangle but it was difficult to make out who was doing what to who. Suddenly the limo swerved violently to one side followed by a loud blast of a horn from another car. Our driver shouted “Sorry sorry!” and Danny told him to keep his eyes on the road and not on us.

I lowered one of the windows and looked at the throngs of people in the city centre, mostly youngsters out on the town. They were laughing, joking and having fun, some waving at us, some giving us the finger. Their night would consist of downing huge quantities of booze, being sick, drinking more booze, having a fumble if they were lucky enough to pull and then a curry. They probably saw us oldies in the limo and thought ‘boring old farts’, if only they knew, if only they could see, would I swap my night for theirs. Never in a million years.

We drove back out of town towards Tony’s place. The driver was at last concentrating on the road and we began to make ourselves presentable. We opened another bottle of champagne. Maria loved it and polished off about three glasses in succession, then inserted the stem of the bottle into her fanny. We all cheered and drank from the bottle. Alan took a swig licked his lips and uttered the words which we would all tease him with to this day “Oh, you dirty little bitch, Maria, do it again.” We all cracked up, he was being serious, but we couldn’t help howling with laughter at the way it came out.

We felt like VIPs as we pulled up outside Tony’s new place. The driver had opened the doors and we all climbed out to be met by a couple of Tony’s doormen. I recognised one of them as Mad Mick, Tony’s right hand man, he came over to us.

“Hi Barry,” he said. “Tony told me you were coming, come on through.” I felt a little guilty as Mick ushered us past the waiting queue and into the building. At the bar Mick crushed my hand as he shook it. “Gotta go back outside now Barry, good to see you again, Tony’s over there.” He pointed over the tops of the heads to a small crowd of guys huddled in the corner. Tony was holding court with some of the big players in the city, men with broken noses and thick gold chains round their necks.

We ordered drinks and somehow found a table near the front of the stage, we waited for the girls to do their stuff. There were four poles on the stage and when the girls began dancing around them, you could either watch or pay for a private dance.

“You made it then?” said Tony. “What do you think of the place?” he continued.

“Looks great,” I answered, “when do the girls come on?”

“About half an hour, I’m letting people spend some money at the bar before they all go goggle eyed watching the babes dance.” I introduced Tony to the rest of the gang and I could see his eyes widen when he saw that all our swinging girls were so attractive. Tony, being the owner of three night clubs, is surrounded by stunning young girls most of the time and I think he thought that swingers would be all unattractive, over-weight sixty year olds, a stereotype pushed by the media of old, but I could see he was both surprised and impressed. It gave me a buzz to think our ladies could hold their own in the company of pole dancers. Mind you, I must say those dancers were a bit special as they twirled and spun around those poles; we all felt a little horny. Danny said he wanted a private dance, but when we told him he couldn’t touch he changed his mind

“That’s just torture,” he said, “my dick couldn’t take it.” Even the girls were getting turned on. Marie and Sue were both lusting after a curvy redhead who performed contortionist moves as she glided up and down the pole. They began to caress each other as they watched the performance, they were getting more and more turned on, then they began to kiss, long, sexy kisses with plenty of tongue action. Of course it wasn’t long before the audience began watching Marie and Sue more than the pole dancers. After a few minutes a doorman came over and said could the girls stop kissing as they had had a complaint.

“Who from?” we asked, astounded that someone could complain about two attractive women kissing. “The dancers,” he said sheepishly “everyone is watching the two girls kissing and no one is watching them.”

We had forgotten that we were not in La Chambre anymore, even the sexual atmosphere of a lap dancing club is tame in comparison to our place so we apologised and ordered more drinks. A few minutes later Tony came over and asked us all to follow him. At first I wondered if he was going to throw us out, but he led us to a lift. When we were all inside he pressed the button for the top floor.

“I thought you ladies may want to try a spot of pole dancing without the crowds,” said Tony. The third floor was deserted. There were stacks of chairs up against the walls, paint tins, ladders and assorted costumes hung on rails, and at one end of the room were two dancing poles.

“This is where the girls train in the day and keep their outfits.” I looked at him and grinned.

“You mean a private performance, swingers style?”

“Something like that,” answered Tony grinning back at me. Alan and Mark began setting up a row of chairs.

“Now that’s a good idea if ever I heard one,” said Danny.

“How’s about it girls, shall we show Tony how La Chambre does it?” I asked. Without hesitation the four girls went over to the dance poles. The two Sues on one, Marie and Maria on the other. Tony had turned on a rehearsal tape of sexy dance music and we sat back in our chairs to enjoy the show.

Of course we have a dance pole in the club so none of the girls were phased by it and they really began to bump and grind. When they began to strip, kiss and fondle each other it really started to heat up. Mark and Danny were egging them on, “Go on girl put your tongue down her throat, feel those boobs, make her wet.” I glanced over at Tony, he was grinning like a Cheshire
cat.

As the dance went on they got down to their bras and panties and were holding nothing back. They had now swapped over and Marie was dancing with Little Sue and Maria with Danny’s Sue. Eventually, the whole group came together on one pole to finish with a flourish of kissing and fingering. Sue was on her knees going from one to the other giving out oral as the music stopped. We all cheered and clapped and Alan said, “Oh Sue, you dirty little bitch, do it again,” to which we all cheered and clapped again.

It had been an incredibly horny experience but the night was not over yet. We said our goodbyes to Tony and jumped back into our waiting limo. “Home, James,” I said, “well back to our house anyway.” The driver duly obliged and we set off down the motorway where we got the girls to flash a few lorry drivers, just for the hell of it.

We had a buffet laid on when we got home and devoured the mini pork pies and volovants like we hadn’t eaten for a month. We told the driver he could go, everyone was staying over and getting taxis back home the following day. I really think he wanted to stay, but we loaded him with sausage rolls and sent him on his way.

Once we had satisfied our hunger, the wine began to flow. We were all soon in a state of undress and slight drunkenness. Maria was worse though, she was nearing the knickers on the head stage. I think it was a game of hide and seek where I found Sue hiding down the side of a bed. The bedroom was dark and as I felt around my hand touched her on her naked back. I knew it was Sue even in the dark. I had touched and caressed her body so many times over the years that I knew her almost as well as I knew Marie. I pulled her to her feet and kissed her. I could hear the others running through the house looking for the other hiders, I knew it would not be long before they came bursting in so I gently bent Sue down doggy style and entered her. “Pull my hair,” she demanded.
